Terms
Plain English, because the things worth saying here are short. Last updated 27 August 2026.
What this is
AfricanMutualFunds publishes a weekly league table of Nigerian collective investment schemes, built from the Net Asset Value returns the Securities and Exchange Commission of Nigeria publishes.
Every return on the board is free. Each fund's name, its manager, its category, and its returns over one month, the year so far, the completed 2025 year, a rolling twelve months and three years — for every fund in the Commission's latest weekly return, not a selection. There is nothing to pay and no part of the board held back. The weekly league-table cards are free on the same terms.
The search box asks for an email address. That is the only thing on this site that does. The board is all there whether you register or not; what an address buys is not having to scroll it to find one fund. It is free, and what we get for it is the second thing on this page.
Fund size and net flow are not published. They are not in the Commission's filings: no fund reports its flows, and ours is an estimate, computed from movements in fund size and unit count. Those, and tables for years before the current one, are arranged by email and priced against the particular request. Nothing on this site charges a card, and there is no subscription to hold.
What you may do with it
The free board is meant to be used. Read it, print it, quote a figure in a note to a client, put a screenshot in a deck, cite a number in an article. We ask for attribution to AfricanMutualFunds.com where the figure is doing real work in what you publish, and we would rather you got the number right than asked permission.
What is not on offer is wholesale re-publication: scraping the board into another product, mirroring it as a rival table, or reselling it. That is not a licensing fee waiting to be paid — it is a conversation, and it starts at help@africanmutualfunds.com.
Anything supplied by arrangement — flow tables, fund size, an earlier year — comes with its own terms in writing, agreed before it is sent. This page does not cover it.
Advertising
Some weeks there is an advertisement on the board. Where there is, it is labelled as one, it is an image we host ourselves, and it is the only link on the page that leaves the site. There is no ad network here: nothing third-party runs in your browser, no tracking pixel loads, and nobody buying a slot learns anything about who saw it beyond the fact that somebody clicked.
An advertiser buys space and nothing else. No advertiser has ever seen the board before it was published, changed a figure on it, or had a fund moved up it, and none ever will — if that is what someone is buying, they are in the wrong place.
What the data is, and what it is not
This is data, not advice.
Nothing here is investment advice, a recommendation, an offer, or a solicitation to buy or sell anything. We are not your adviser and we are not regulated to be one. A fund at the top of the board might be the wrong fund for you, and past performance tells you what happened, not what happens next.
The figures come from the SEC's own weekly filings. We compute returns from the net asset value per unit each fund reports; where a fund holds its unit price flat and pays its return out as yield, we compound the weekly yield it files instead. Net flows are our estimate, derived from movements in fund size and unit count — the funds do not report them, and we do not claim precision the source cannot support. Dollar funds are valued in naira by the Commission, so their returns carry the exchange rate inside them.
We check our numbers against the filings they came from and we publish the method. We do not guarantee the filings themselves are right, and we cannot be liable for a decision taken on the strength of a figure — ours or the Commission's. The table is offered as-is, and being free does not make it careless: it is the same board, checked the same way, that used to sit behind a subscription.
Corrections
If a figure here is wrong, we want to fix it and we will not charge anyone to fix it. Fund managers: send the correction on your letterhead, signed by an authorised officer, with the audited figure and the SEC filing reference it comes from, to help@africanmutualfunds.com. A disputed figure is marked under review in the table within one business day of your letter reaching us, and accepted corrections are published in an open changelog.
Your email address, and the list
Registering is joining the mailing list. The two are not separable and the form says so above the button: an address opens the search box, and it goes on the weekly list — the ranking each Friday, and the occasional note when something changes here. That exchange is the whole business model on this side of the site, and stating it plainly is better than a pre-ticked box.
We send one confirmation and nothing else until you open the link inside it, so nobody can sign your address up by typing it, and nothing opens on that browser until you do. Every email carries a one-click stop at its foot, and using it leaves the search box open — you are not being held on the list to keep what you registered for.
The address is used to send you the ranking and for nothing else. It is not sold, not rented, and not passed to a fund manager. Ask us to delete it and we will.
Service, and when it is not there
The table is updated each week the Commission publishes. We do not promise a particular uptime, and we do not promise that a given week's filing will arrive on time — sometimes the Commission is late, and when it is, the site says which week it is showing.
We may change these terms. The date at the top is when this version was published.
Getting hold of us
One address, read by a person: help@africanmutualfunds.com. Net flow and fund size, an earlier year, licensing, or a figure that looks wrong — all of it goes there.
